About this blog

This blog has been a long time in the making! The activities and ideas here are the accumulation of 10 years of teaching and study with wonderful and talented colleagues, mentors and trainers. I started keeping a paper journal of lesson ideas and activities 4 years ago on my DELTA course, and I’ve finally got round to putting it into a blog where it can be easily accessed and shared.

This blog focuses on practical classroom ideas. Some are old, some are new, some are mine, and some are not. Whenever relevant I will reference the original sources and provide links to publications that other teachers may find useful. I’ve aimed this blog at pre-Delta teachers, but hopefully there’ll be something in here for everyone.

Finally, no one activity suits every age or level. I haven’t labelled the posts in this way, so it’s up to you to pick and choose what would suit your classes. Nobody knows their class better than their teacher, so please tweak and adapt and make them your own.

Write a comment and share what went well for you!
